3. JETSTAR Business Jet
JetStar II, with advanced Garrett AiResearch fanjet engines, can
span U.S. nonstop against prevailing winds. Based upon
successful prototype flight tests and sales prospects,
Lockheed-Georgia went into production in early 1975. Typical
cruise speed 570 m.p.h., maximum cruise altitude 43,000 ft. Up
to 10 passengers, crew of two; galley, baggage compartment.
Length 60 ft 6 in., wing span 54 ft. It remains the only
four-engine jet-powered business transport. |
